WHO IS BEHIND MASAYA PORTRAITS?

My name is Ana Quinajon, and I was born and raised in the vibrant town of Ilocos, Philippines. After years of exploring new perspectives while working in the United Kingdom, I’ve finally found my forever home in Chicago, Illinois—a city as full of life as my passion for photography. As a dedicated portrait photographer, my mission is simple: to capture the true essence of who you are, revealing your story through every shot.

My journey into photography began in grade school, when I first picked up my Sony Ericsson phone camera. It wasn’t just about taking pictures—it was about seeing the world through a different lens. From the everyday scenes in my neighborhood to the quiet moments in my family’s life, I couldn’t resist capturing them. My mom, always my number one supporter, encouraged me to nurture this passion. She cheered me on when I joined the Batac Photoshooters Association (BAPA) in high school, a local photography club where my love for portraiture truly blossomed. It wasn’t long before I became known as “the girl with the camera,” always ready to capture a friend’s smile in the hallway or a quiet moment after class. Each photoshoot felt like an opportunity to not only learn more about my subjects but also about myself.

I’ve always been captivated by the power of photography to immortalize a memory, a fleeting moment, or a feeling. Over the years, my passion has grown into something I am deeply committed to, and I find great fulfillment in capturing images that tell timeless stories.
